Student Terms and Conditions

These are the same terms every student accepts before payment. Effective August 3, 2026.

1. About Ahkam Academy

Ahkam Academy is an online Islamic educational institute dedicated to providing structured Islamic studies in English. Our curriculum is grounded in the Qur'an, the authentic Sunnah, and the understanding of the classical scholars. Our goal is to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible while encouraging sincerity, good character, and the pursuit of knowledge for the sake of Allah.

2. Eligibility

Students are expected to:

  • Provide accurate registration information.
  • Be respectful toward instructors, staff, and fellow students.
  • Have access to a reliable internet connection and suitable device for online learning.
  • Follow all academy policies throughout their enrollment.

Parents or guardians are responsible for students under the age of 18.

3. Enrollment

Enrollment is confirmed only after:

  • The application has been accepted.
  • Payment has been received in full or an approved payment arrangement has been made.
  • The student receives confirmation from Ahkam Academy.

The Academy reserves the right to decline or cancel any application at its discretion.

4. Program Structure

Programs may include:

  • Live online classes.
  • Recorded lesson replays.
  • Student portal access.
  • Course notes and handbooks.
  • Assessments and quizzes.
  • Assignments.
  • Certificates (where applicable).
  • Student support.

The Academy may update course content, lesson order, instructors, or teaching methods to improve the learning experience.

5. Attendance

Students are expected to attend classes regularly.

If a student cannot attend, they should notify the Academy whenever possible.

Repeated absences may affect learning progress and eligibility for certificates.

6. Class Conduct

Students must:

  • Show Islamic manners and respect at all times.
  • Avoid interrupting classes.
  • Use respectful language.
  • Follow instructor directions.
  • Participate appropriately during discussions.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Abusive or offensive language.
  • Harassment or bullying.
  • Disruptive behaviour.
  • Recording classes without permission.
  • Sharing inappropriate material.
  • Academic dishonesty.

The Academy reserves the right to remove any student who repeatedly violates these standards.

7. Academic Integrity

Assignments, quizzes, and assessments must represent the student's own work.

Cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized assistance, or misuse of AI tools where prohibited may result in:

  • Assignment failure.
  • Assessment failure.
  • Suspension.
  • Removal from the Academy without refund.

8. Assessments

Some programs include:

  • Weekly assignments.
  • Quizzes.
  • Midterm assessments.
  • Final assessments.

Students are responsible for submitting all work before published deadlines.

Late submissions may not be accepted unless approved by the Academy.

9. Certificates

Certificates may only be awarded to students who:

  • Complete required coursework.
  • Meet attendance expectations.
  • Successfully complete assessments.
  • Fulfil any additional course requirements.

The Academy reserves the right to withhold certificates where requirements have not been met.

10. Student Portal

Students receive access to the Ahkam Academy learning platform.

Portal access is for the registered student only.

Students must not:

  • Share login credentials.
  • Allow others to access their account.
  • Upload academy material elsewhere.
  • Attempt to bypass platform security.

Accounts found violating these rules may be suspended immediately.

11. Intellectual Property

All materials remain the exclusive property of Ahkam Academy. This includes:

  • Videos.
  • Slides.
  • PDFs.
  • Workbooks.
  • Curriculum.
  • Assessments.
  • Audio recordings.
  • Graphics.
  • Logos.
  • Written content.

Students may use materials only for their own personal learning.

No material may be copied, reproduced, translated, uploaded, distributed, sold, shared publicly, or used to teach others without written permission from Ahkam Academy.

12. Recording Policy

Live classes may be recorded for educational purposes.

By participating in live sessions, students acknowledge that their voice, comments, or submitted questions may appear within recordings available to enrolled students.

Students may not record classes without prior written permission.

13. Testimonials

From time to time, Ahkam Academy may invite students to provide testimonials.

Participation is completely voluntary.

Students may decline without affecting their enrollment.

Written or video testimonials may only be published with the student's permission.

14. Communication

Official communication may occur through:

  • Email.
  • Student portal.
  • WhatsApp.
  • Other approved Academy communication channels.

Students are responsible for checking announcements regularly.

15. Payments

Tuition and fees must be paid according to the selected payment option.

Failure to pay may result in:

  • Suspension of portal access.
  • Removal from classes.
  • Cancellation of enrollment.

Outstanding balances remain payable until settled.

16. Refund Policy

Ahkam Academy's refund policy:

  • Within the first 24 hours of enrollment, a 100% refund is available if the student chooses not to continue.
  • Between 3–7 days after enrollment, a 50% refund is available.
  • After 7 days from enrollment, no refunds will be issued due to the digital nature of the program and the access provided to course materials, lessons, handbooks, workbooks, and student resources.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • Refund requests after course access has been granted may not be approved.
  • No refunds will be issued for missed classes.
  • No refunds will be issued due to lack of attendance.
  • No refunds will be issued after substantial course materials have been accessed.

Refund requests will be considered only where required by applicable law or under any published refund policy.

17. Missed Classes

Students are responsible for catching up on missed lessons.

Where available, recordings may be provided.

The Academy cannot guarantee that every session will have a recording.

18. Technical Issues

Students are responsible for:

  • Internet connection.
  • Computer or mobile device.
  • Software updates.
  • Audio equipment.

The Academy is not responsible for interruptions caused by the student's equipment or internet connection.

19. Schedule Changes

Ahkam Academy reserves the right to:

  • Change instructors.
  • Adjust schedules.
  • Reschedule classes.
  • Modify course delivery.
  • Update curriculum.
  • Cancel classes when necessary.

Reasonable notice will be provided whenever possible.

20. Privacy

Student information is collected only for educational and administrative purposes.

The Academy will take reasonable steps to protect student information and will not intentionally disclose personal information except where required by law or necessary to provide Academy services.

21. Islamic Etiquette

Students are expected to uphold Islamic manners throughout their studies, including honesty, respect, humility, patience, and sincerity.

The Academy strives to maintain an environment that reflects these values.

22. Limitation of Liability

Ahkam Academy provides educational services only. The Academy is not responsible for:

  • Personal decisions made by students based on course content.
  • Internet outages.
  • Technical failures beyond its control.
  • Loss of data caused by third-party services.
  • Indirect or consequential losses.

23. Right to Refuse or Terminate Enrollment

Ahkam Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate enrollment, with or without notice, for serious misconduct including:

  • Harassment.
  • Threats.
  • Academic dishonesty.
  • Abuse toward staff or students.
  • Copyright infringement.
  • Repeated disruption.
  • Failure to comply with Academy policies.

Termination under these circumstances may occur without refund.

24. Changes to These Terms

The Academy may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

Updated versions become effective once published or communicated to students.

Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

25. Acceptance

By registering, making payment, accessing the student portal, or participating in any Ahkam Academy course or service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
